Huh...I had thought Junna just wanted and rematch and win against Hane (Being sore loser)...Not a full blown Yandere lover's suicide ending!!! XD

Junna...How about we don't go down the lover's suicide ending route path...We can just have a intense rematch where you win and you can gloat about being the top and you and your waifu living happily ever after for good 40-60 year later!!! Yes I know it sound very romantic, tragic and sense of excitement plus nice drama (Probably even sound very reasonable and logic to you perhaps) inside your head with whatever issues you have deep inside your head but let not go that route :D

RIP to that random green hair mook (Not sure if that was Junna's former aide but RIP to green hair girl mook that just got Offscreen as well like the ohter mooks)

Junna's new magical form (Or just a downgrade version of her evil general form?)...Welp they are feeding her EXP and magical crystal to regain her magic powers/potential back though...Also yay for green leafy censors lol

So yeah...I think author is enjoying trolling the readers since Junna's new former we are being shown looks similar to the past purple hair magical girl in the past...But there is no clear evidence that Junna is actually that same person (Like other people point out, could be different person or just older sister of Junna or something similar. Could be same person or could not be XD)

Some context I thought I might add (spoiler tagged in case it was intentionally obfuscated by the translator):

Going to the original, Juuna's line of "her last moments will be mine and mine alone" is translated from "あの魔法少女の『最後』を看取るのは私以外許さない". First, "看取る" is a rather interesting word to use here since it doesn't really have anything to do with killing at all, instead, it has the meaning of "being by someone's side when they die", and is rather commonly used in the context of providing care and/or comfort to the dying.

But second and what I'm more intrigued about is the choice of the word "最後". Yes, it is admittedly very commonly used in the context of someone's last moments, but it only really means "last", as in the end of something in a very broad meaning. Whereas if one was specifically referring to someone's final moments, they would more likely use "最期", (which, incidentally, is more commonly paired with 看取る than 最後). That, coupled with the fact that 最後 is encased with Japanese quotation marks (『』) leads me to believe that at the very least there is more to Juuna's words than simply wanting to outright kill Hane (although I would welcome that, I love me some bloody messy unstable yuri).

Hane: “I can fix her.”

Also, it's way more gory if you imagine the flowers as blood and guts, like holy shit it's crazy.

Junna is such a Yandere, bro. She loves her so much she wants to kill her

Just a heads up to everyone, the green-haired goon with their leaves hanging out is not the same person as Junna’s former green underling.

Junna’s flashback to her time as a general shows her underling with pointy ears. The one on the ground has round ears. Unless the author retconned that design, they’re different people. So we may still see her former underling in the future.

Wait, wasn't the hair of the older magical girl that saved Hane light-purple? And now so is Junna's new transformed version...

Yeah. I'm pretty convinced Junna is really the older magic girl. She probably just doesn't remember her past from before becoming an evil general.

It's looking more like she is the older magical girl who underwent corruption, given that Junna's transformation changes her hair color to the same light purple. Also, it seems that the generals of Barren Hollow's Demon Maze all wear blindfolds. And I guess it's already time to say goodbye to the coworker Junna had now that she's covered in leaves to cover up the blood and gore.

「The Only One Allowed to Defeat You」trope in full effect but now with a touch of Yandere love (the excuse so that she can keep helping Hane).

I do find the green underling's comment interesting because given though I am sure Junna was offended by the whole "hate them so much" because she loves Hane so much she wants to kill her by herself, she could inadvertently be sowing discord through Hane's overwhelming love for her.

Like, not random random. You could take the previous chapters and say that this situation doesn't contradict anything that was done before. But it also doesn't feel like a natural follow-up to the story.

On one hand, I don't disagree because the story up until the last few chapters seems a bit more light-handed like we swerve from cutesy yet dramantic romantic pining to full-on psychological yandere. If there is one thing is that I feel if we were a little more privy to Junna's side before the leadup, I think it could have been more natural especially when everything has been all on Hane's side (understandable, she is the more popular one?). It does feel like the author is taking the dive to keep up the shock and swerve.

But on the other hand, well it is already addressed but because it doesn't contradict the previous chapters, I think it's mostly fine. It seems kinda clear the author is writing this on their feet so certain aspects have likely changed as they kept going. I think it's going alright so far. Even the swerve kinda works because it's a hard turn from Hane to Junna's perspective.

I am pretty excited to see what is next. Obviously, I think both Junna and Hane will try to pretend that everything is fine but it seems things will get awkward pretty soon.

The diagram in Page 6 of Chapter 22 spells out the core mystery and relationship dynamic. We have only just learned a little bit about the other Floral Knights magical girls and their desires, and very little on Junna's former workplace of Barren Hollow's Demon Maze beyond their attempts in recapturing Junna through monsters of the week with their goons.

Hane essentially "frees" Junna from the shackles of being an evil general by killing her, allowing her live her life without carrying any of that burden all the time. We might be getting a story where the thing goes full-cricle, with Junna killing Hane in the same way she was killed. It might also be commentary on the ultimately predatory nature of being a magical girl, and the whole system itself being corrupt. Junna is freed through death from the shackles of her evil organization, but that isnt the only system shackling people, the magical girl deal itself is similar in its burden, or that kind of theme at least.

I really like this theory. It could also be possible given the context that OEk said that there is something that Junna wishes more than just being the only one to kill Hane in a lover-suicide. It could also go double if Junna ends up being the older magical girl so she would also know what being the magical girl entails assuming she recovers her memory.

I didn't get to mention it but I also like the theories that Junna is driven by self-esteem issues in being Hane's lover which is why she lead off with breaking the ice on Hane's possible misunderstanding.

The core dramantic irony is how Junna is going to get that duel too (or if she will at all) since it's very clear that Hane would rather die or fight the world instead than to hurt Junna ever again. Maybe that's why she immediately tries to seperate herself from the older magical girl (regardless if they are the same person) because then Hane would feel like she got duped and be willing to fight her (highly unlikey to work though, Hane's love for her is too strong, perhaps monstrous so).

At chap 15,you can see the charm Hane give to the Magical girl who saved her in Junna's body.So it is very likely that Junna was that magical girl but somehow got corrupted(?) (sorry for my bad english

My theory about this is that Junna wants to defeat Hane to get rid of Hane's own feelings of guilt coming from the fact that she almost killed her.

It is possible Hane did kill Junna but Hane did something with her magic to bring Junna back (ch. 16). The cost of this is likely related to why Hane's body is most covered. Related to your theory, maybe Junna knows this and thinks that defeating Hane is a solution.
